Dear Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School Community:
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we would like to inform you about the upcoming search for the next President/CEO of Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School.
As fiduciaries of the mission, appointing a President is one of the Board of Directors’ most important decisions. To that end, the Board has engaged Lester Consulting Group, Inc. (LCG) to manage a national search process on behalf of Cristo Rey Research Triangle. Along with the Board, LCG is committed to a process that seeks a President who will embrace our school’s mission and culture. LCG has worked with other Cristo Rey schools, and they understand Catholic education, nonprofit leadership, and how effective, mission-driven leaders can be found in every sector, including the corporate world.
Mr. Lorcan Barnes, LCG President, and his team will facilitate the search process. All are familiar with Catholic secondary education, having served as President/CEO or Principal of Catholic high schools. Over the next few weeks, LCG will gather essential data from our constituents through surveys and interviews that will prioritize the qualities and experiences we seek in our next President.
In addition to LCG’s process facilitation, the Board of Directors has established a Search Committee to help identify and screen candidates. We both serve on the Search Committee and are joined by Alexia Ali, Faculty member; Ed Fritsch, Board of Directors; Luis Hernandez, Benefactor; Jeb Myers, Interim President; and Kelby Woodard, CEO of the Cristo Rey Network. We are grateful that our school community's trusted members and advocates have agreed to embrace this important responsibility.
The search process is designed to name a new president in the spring with the expectation that s/he will assume the role in the summer of 2024. Until then, we have been grateful to Mr. Jeb Myers for his service as interim president these past several months and his commitment to serving our school community through the end of the school year or until a long-term president is hired. We will provide our school community with regular updates on the search process on the school's website over the next few months. While the responsibility to hire the President belongs to the Board of Directors, the voice of the Cristo Rey Research Triangle community is important and will inform our discernment and decision.
Any leadership change within a community can be the source of great hope, excitement, and anxiety. Our efforts will be guided by our school’s mission to deliver a career-focused college preparatory education for students with limited financial means. Please keep this search and our efforts in your prayers.

Como fiduciarios de la misión, el nombramiento de un Presidente es una de las decisiones más importantes de la Junta Directiva. La Junta ha contratado a Lester Consulting Group, Inc. (LCG) para realizar un proceso de búsqueda nacional a nombre de Cristo Rey Research Triangle. En colaboración con la Junta, el grupo LCG está comprometido con la búsqueda de un candidato a la presidencia que adopte la misión y la cultura de nuestra escuela. LCG ha trabajado con otras escuelas de Cristo Rey y entienden la educación católica, el liderazgo sin fines de lucro y cómo se pueden encontrar líderes efectivos e impulsados por una misión en todos los sectores, incluido el mundo empresarial.
El Sr. Lorcan Barnes, presidente de la LCG, facilitará el proceso de búsqueda, junto con su equipo. Todos tienen gran familiaridad con la educación secundaria católica, ya que poseen la experiencia como presidente/director ejecutivo o director de escuelas secundarias católicas.
